Passenger numbers on Estonia’s national airline Nordica continued to grow in the first quarter of 2018, and the rate at which tickets have been purchased for summer destinations promises further growth.

Estonia’s national carrier Nordica is celebrating its second birthday this week. Although the airline had started operating flights a few months earlier in November 2015, its name and visual identity were revealed to the public in late March 2016, when Nordica gradually began flying with its own aircraft and crews. It is this date that the company considers its birthday.

Eesti lennufirma Nordica suurendab haaret Hollandi turul ja avab uue liini vana ülikoolilinna Groningeni ja Prantsuse Rivieras asuva Nice’i vahel. Kord nädalas toimuvate lendudega tehakse algust 16. juunil. Suvehooaja sihtkohta lennatakse kuni 6. oktoobrini. Tegemist on juba neljanda sihtkohaga, mida Nordica Groningenist järgmisest hooajast alates teenindab.

Estonia’s national airline Nordica delivered 613,000 passengers to their destinations in 2017, a rise of more than 60% on the previous year, solidifying the airline’s position as market leader for flights operating out of Tallinn. Nordica’s fleet also increased by 10 aircraft during the year.

Compared to 2016, Estonia’s national airline Nordica has flown 65% more passengers in the year to date – including, today, the one millionth traveller to fly with the airline!

Nordica is set to launch flights to the Danish capital Copenhagen in spring

26 April 2018 will see the first flight operated by the Estonian national airline Nordica to Zhuliany, the second-largest airport in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. The airport is located close to the city centre. Nordica already operates daily flights between Tallinn and Kyiv’s largest airport, Boryspil, but from next spring it will also be possible to fly to Zhuliany three times a week.
